Hi everyone,
We live on a property with an old barn foundation (previous owners tore down the barn…assuming for structural reasons).

We want to re-build a barn here and are unsure how to proceed. Here are the big questions:

1) There is existing concrete slab, but it is in rough shape (different heights and ledges where walls used to be, and some areas crumbling): would we be able to pour a new layer of concrete right on top, or would we have to remove existing concrete?

2) The walls of the foundation are still there, but some areas are falling apart. Is it possible to reinforce, or would we be better off removing the existing foundation and starting over?

Thanks!
