Project by Alan in Maine
This is a coop I built for some friends. They are new to chickens and needed a predator proof coop in Maine.
I used one inch rough cut hemlock for the whole project and shiplap for the roof. I have built coops before.
This is the simplest set of plans to follow, especially for a beginner. There is a roost on the inside and welded wire to keep out predators.
There are plenty of nesting boxes for eggs. I hope Dave and Trisha enjoy the coop!
Thank you for looking at my project.
Loved the shiplap roof. Very nice idea.
Very nice looking Will be great for the Maine birds Was wondering about ventilation? Light and sitting for shade??
Real cool, Alan.
