Barn Geek,
I have a 20x30x20H metal side and roof barn that is in great shape and insulated under the roof. The roof insulation is a white thinner looking material which is stuck to the roof somehow. The guy we bought this house from 2 years ago built this barn himself as a work shop. It also has a poured concrete slab floor.
This barn is the only reason why I wanted to buy the house as I eventually want to transform it into the ultimate MAN BARN. Picture two motorcycles with a work area, enclosed storage shelves, Flat panel TV, poker table and cool decor everywhere. My problem is the rest of the barn walls are not insulated and I’ve done a ton of research but nothing pops out that says the best way to insulate it.
My location is Waynesville, OH and of course I do not want to break the bank on the insulation. I also want to put in some kind of gas or electric heat source, maybe hanging. I can also send pics if you like. Thank you in advance.

Hi Adam,
There are 2 different solutions I would recommend for your barn. The best and more expensive of the 2 is spray foam insulation. You should be able to find a contractor in your area that can apply this insulation for you. It is not a do it yourself type project.
The second is the use an EPS product such as p2000. This is great stuff that is low cost. You can even get sheets of p2000 with one white side that will give you a more finished look.
Thank You
