I based my coop off of the plans on this page. I changed it up a little & made the whole back side a door.

I also made the sides of the nesting boxes open and the nest dividers removable to aid in cleaning. I used corigated plastic for the roof & the center section is clear to let in light for them.

Did you find the nesting boxs are too small? I used the plan and my chickens seem too big for it

Thanks for all the great comments! I’ll post some updates later on when I’ve got it all finished. The weather hasn’t been cooperating very well here the last week or so.

I put 7 nest boxes in it for now. Probably too many for 8 chickens, but we’ll see.

I love this customized coop. Great design using common sense.
